Pickleball is a fast-growing sport played with:

  • A paddle (like an oversized table tennis bat)
  • A plastic ball with holes
  • On a court the same size as a badminton court

You can play singles or doubles, and the goal is to hit the ball over the net and make it bounce once in your opponent’s side without them returning it.

The smaller court and lighter ball make it:

  • Easier on the body than tennis
  • Slower-paced at first, so beginners can rally quickly
  • But it can get fast and intense at higher levels

It’s hugely popular with all ages, from kids to retirees, because it’s:

  • Easy to learn in 10–15 minutes
  • Fun and social
  • Great for fitness, reflexes, and coordination without being high-impact

  • Fails to return the ball before it bounces twice
  • Hits the net, or
  • Sends the ball out of bounds

In most casual and tournament formats, only the serving team can score points. Games are typically played to 11 points, but you must win by two clear points if the score reaches 10–10.

Pickleball is easy to learn and fun from day one. Beginners can pick it up quickly and improve fast as they build skills and confidence. At the same time, it offers plenty of depth and strategy for experienced players — even former world tennis No.1 Andre Agassi is a fan!
