Participant Liability Waiver and Release

THIS LIABILITY STATEMENT MUST BE AGREED BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN ACTIVITIES AT THE PICKLEBALL SHED.  YOU CAN DO THIS WHEN SIGNING UP ON THE WEB OR PHONE APP.

I understand that participation in pickleball and related activities at The Pickleball Shed (the “Facility”) involves inherent risks of injury.
These may include, but are not limited to:

• Slips, trips, or falls on playing surfaces or surrounding areas
   
• Collisions with equipment, balls, other participants, or structural elements of the Facility (including any uncovered beams, posts, or other fixtures)
   
• Muscle strains, sprains, or more serious injuries such as fractures or head injuries
   

I acknowledge that I participate entirely at my own risk and that The Pickleball Shed cannot guarantee my safety.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless The Pickleball Shed, its owners, organisers, staff, volunteers, and any affiliated persons (collectively, the “Organisers”) from any and all liability for loss, damage, or injury—however caused—arising from my participation,
except where such loss, damage, or injury arises from the Organisers’ negligence or breach of statutory duty.

I declare that I am physically fit to participate in pickleball and have no medical conditions that would make it unsafe for me to do so.
I consent to the Organisers seeking medical attention on my behalf if required in an emergency. except where such loss, damage, or injury arises from the Organisers’ negligence or breach of statutory duty.

I accept that the Organisers are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to my personal property while on the premises.

I consent to photographs or video being taken for promotional or record-keeping purposes unless I notify the Organisers in writing that I do not wish to be included.
